About The Maths Teacher : David Smith
After gaining a BSc in Mathematics from Sheffield University, David spent 5 years teaching in Sheffield secondary schools. He then spent 12 years as an RAF Education & Training Officer, during which time he gained an MSc in Computing and an MBA in Business Administration. A firm believer in on-going education, David has also gained a BSc in Physics through the Open University. After leaving the RAF, David has spent 23 years teaching Mathematics in Gloucestershire.
He works at Chosen Hill School in Churchdown, Gloucester, where almost all his time is spent teaching examination classes in GCSE Maths, A-level Maths and A-level Further Maths. In recent years, David has been recording lessons on-line to help his students prepare for their external exams.
Through this web site, it is hoped that these videos, associated lesson notes and exercises can help many more students achieve success in their own studies.
